stake in the Sinopec oilfield in China ,

The sale could bring in anywhere from 200 to 300 million dollars US.

Natural Gas Prices Bust Through $6

Record low temperatures across the nation have led to
plummeting supply and surging natural gas prices. While the price per mcf did drop by 1.4
percent Thursday, still it closed above the $6 mark at $6.06. Prices are now the highest they’ve been in
more than 5 years.

Court Rules Against BP in Settlement Terms

been notified by a federal appeals court that it must stick to the settlement
amount of $9.2 billion for damages caused in the Gulf of Mexico
oil spill back in 2010. The company had
appealed on grounds that a claims administrator had read the deal wrong. The judge has ruled that the settlement
amount will stand.

Hub price moved down to $4.61.
That’s a decrease of 25 percent. The
price for US Natural Gas was also down.

Sanchez Energy Releases Well Result from Eagle Ford Shale Play

The Texas Railroad Commission has revealed a new public filing by Sanchez Energy for its exploratory well in the Eagle Ford Shale play. The Sante North Unit #1H well was tested on January 26, 2014.
The results show that the well tested at 150 barrels of 44°API gravity oil. The depth of the well, at 11,583 feet, is very similar to the prost area.
